'Star Wars': Diego Luna to Lead Spinoff Series

Diego Luna will famous person in a brand new "Star Wars" collection for Disney's new streaming service. The reveal could be a prequel to "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

Luna will reprise his role as insurgent undercover agent Cassian Andor, the cocky daredevil who helped Felicity Jones steal the Death Star plans within the hit 2016 film.

"Going again to the Star Wars universe is terribly particular for me," stated Luna. "I even have such a lot of memories of the excellent paintings we did in combination and the relationships I made across the adventure. We have a phenomenal event forward people, and this new enjoyable format will give us the chance to explore this character extra deeply."

The display is one of a few formidable collection coming to Disney's Netflix challenger, which it has dubbed Disney+. As Variety first suggested, Disney is developing a number of restricted series based on familiar characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These displays can also have actors comparable to Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen reprise their roles as Loki and the Scarlet Witch in programming that debuts on the streaming service.

The exhibit will spread within the early years of the Rebellion and is defined as a "rousing spy thriller." A liberate date for the series has no longer but been introduced, however creation will start in 2019.
